awesome screwdriver

After using this tool for more than a month I cannot imagine using anything else. My work demands a good screwdriver and I have bought a lot over the years and have been satisfied by some and not so much by others. However now that I have used this one I would have to say that every other screwdriver lacks. The Wiha 38018 has a great grip, perfect weight and perfectly fitting bits. The only complaint I can levy against it is the 8 bits that come in the handle are short and are not good for getting into deep holes as I often must. Of course you can supply your own extension or longer bit. In any case if you are looking for the last screwdriver you will ever need your search is over.

Wiha makes great stuff, and this is a near perfect “around the house” screwdriver. The only compromise stemming from the interchangeable bits is the wider head, which in rare cases could prevent you from reaching a tight spot. But that’s worth it to me, knowing I can just grab the screwdriver, and figure out what bit I need later.

Best of its type

This is really a great screwdriver. I’ve used so many products using the bit-in-the-handle model that feel so cheap and unnatural, but this one is great. You only get Philips and Slotted bits in the handle, but you can replace them with anything you want. But the whole point is, it feels like a great screwdriver, and you can have multiple bits without ever wishing you just had a set of standard screwdrivers instead.

The bit compartment holds 8, but feels solid and opens smoothly. If they tried to fit more bits in, it would ruin the natural feel, so the compromise is perfect. Also, if you’re using this for electrical work, you usually only need a few bits anyway. I love it!
